The immigrant experience
There are multiple ways of crossing through Mexico into the U.S. border. The most brutal way is by getting on "La Bestia" which received its name because of the countless deaths caused in riding the famous train. The image above shows how many people ride the train yet very few actually cross the U.S. border. People can also walk or swim across. The map in the slide show shows La Bestias route starting from Guatemala to the US.
